Yes, late spring, although I know this is being posted a little later, these are some of the things we were doing back in November.

Our lettuce plants were at their peak, still cool enough, and plenty of water they were fantastic, especially as they were from seeds that had expired! Brandon had a lovely time keeping them all watered for us.

Apart from the lettuce the peas were also blossoming and producing the most delicious peas. We were all eating them straight from the plants. It’s lovely to see the gardeners eating, and enjoying, what they’ve grown.

I don’t think there was anything quite so exciting as when we harvested the carrots. Everyone got to take home at least one huge carrot each. Some were so excited by them they ate them at the garden, just needed a quick wash!

It’s nearly summer, and soon all the plants will have been pulled out, and the beds prepped for Winter, more’s the pity, still, it was a fantastic Spring, and everyone got to try new fruit and vegetables from their own beds.
